Check out this video about our Reading with Rover program! This wonderful program allows children in grades 2-5 to practice reading skills by reading to a trained therapy dog. Each dog is trained and certified by Rainbow Animal Assisted Therapy. Registration for the Winter session of Reading with Rover begins Wednesday, January 5 at 9:30am. For more details, go to http://wheatonlibrary.org/kids/PE_rover.html.
Bill Hooper and His Live Action Band will be playing the library’s West Plaza on Wednesday, August 5 at 7pm. Don’t miss this wonderful family event! The library has limited outdoor seating, so please bring chairs, blankets, etc. This awesome concert is to celebrate the end of the Summer Reading Program. The library had many programs throughout the summer. Check out the photos on our Flickr page!

The idea of all of this might seem a little intimidating, but it’s easier than you think. A great way to start (that hardly requires any computer skills) is Tumblr. Tumblr is a way of sharing/posting photos, links to favorite websites, music, videos, quotes, or anything else! And you can do this with just a couple mouse clicks. There is no coding or Web design experience needed. I created my own Tumblr page the other day and had a lot of fun! All you need to start is an email address.
Check out the Tumblr page (or Tumblelog, as they call it) I made and then get started on your own! Would you like more information about any of this stuff? Leave a comment, by clicking on Comment now (above) and I’ll get back to you!
