Friday, October 9th, 2009

ugandaToday, October 9,  is Uganda’s Independence Day.  Uganda gained independence from Britain in 1962.

Learn all about Uganda with one of the great databases that we have through the library’s website: Lands & People: Electronic AtlasThis database can be accessed through the Kids’ Room- Homework Help page.  Lands & People  is a helpful resource when working on research and homework projects.  The articles found here contain their source information and can help students cite the source when they have to do a bibliography or “works cited” page in their papers.  Many times, there are additional links and websites to find further information on a particular subject.

We also have a print collection here at the library dealing with Uganda; its history, land, and folklore.
