The Penderwicks

Thursday, November 17th, 2011

I know I am six years late but I just read The Penderwicks: A Summer Tale of Four Sisters, Two Rabbits, and a Very Interesting Boy.  What a delightful book!  Growing up with a sister, I have always had a fondness for stories involving the deep bonds between sisters and their imaginative adventures.

The Penderwicks won the National Book Award for Young People’s Literature in 2005 and is currently on our Battle of the Books reading list.  If you enjoy the first Penderwicks, there are more books that follow the sisters: The Penderwicks on Gardam Street and The Penderwicks at Point Mouette.
